Grinding & Honing

Gauthier Industries offers outstanding quality control and precision with double disk grinding with Besley 18″ and 30″ grinders. These grinders give us the capability to grind both sides of parts in production quantities at the same time and achieve flatness and thickness tolerances with ± .0005″ very economically. We work with materials which range from .050″ to .500″ thick.

Our Sunnen Power Stroke honing equipment gives us accurate hole sizing capability in a variety of materials and configurations — even short bores required for some metal stampings. We can hold tolerances to ± .0001″. We are firmly committed to providing consistent finishes with 100% inspection. Honing is a production operation for us and evidence of our experience is the fact that we hone a half a million holes per year.
